North Shields Football Club is delighted to announce that Brian Smith, Steve Cuggy, and Sean McCafferty will take charge of the first team for the remainder of the 2023/22 season.
Former North Shields manager Brian Smith joins as first team manager with playing experience at Whitley Bay, North Shields, Ashington and Blyth Spartans.
Smith will be joined by ex Maidstone United player and former Whitley Bay assistant manager Steve Cuggy. Sean McCafferty joins the coaching team with extensive experience of playing between the sticks for the likes of North Shields, Newcastle Blue Star and Whitley Bay.
The new management team have been in extensive conversations with the club and we are very excited with this great appointment until the end of the season where the club will re-evaluate.
The club would like to thank Brian, Steve, Sean for coming on board. We would also like to thank supporters for their understanding during the past week.
