CLUB STATEMENT: Search is on for next Lead Volunteer / Chairperson

The search is on to be the next Lead Volunteer at North Shields FC. The Robins are in a position to search for the right person to build upon the town’s team recent successes and strive to further success as Chairperson.

North Shields FC continues to have high hopes for a bright future and the Club now requires an inspirational leader for the next chapter.

The North Shields board of Directors want someone with the right business skills, preferably with experience of running a large organisation who can deal with the complex challenges ahead, high on community spirit and with a passion for football.

North Shields FC is one of the oldest and most famous amateur football clubs in the country, the only club in the world to have won the FA Amateur Cup, European Amateur Cup and the FA Vase.

Our long-term aim is to progress as far as we can in the non league pyramid. We have a good facility at The Daren Persson Stadium, with room to improve, we have a solid fan base and great connections with the local community.

We are a Club from, for and of the community. Up to 350 stalwart supporters regularly fill the terraces at home games at The Daren Persson Stadium, with many contributing to regular fundraising events which have helped keep the Club debt free. The Club also has a solid local business base.

The Club has recruited new manager Dan Iredale and Dan has begun the mammoth task of re-energising the team in their efforts to compete in the Northern League and return to the Northern Premier League and beyond.

Prospective candidates for the new Chairman’s role should contact the Club with a detailed Covering Letter via email directed to, Sean Redford and Sean Mulligan at apply@northshieldsfc.co.uk

The process will finish once we find the right applicant.

The club will make no further comment at this time.
