We are looking to appoint a match day video editor to join the media team here at North Shields Football Club.
North Shields Football Club is a leading semi-professional football club in North Tyneside just outside of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Competing in the EBAC Northern League: First Division, the ninth tier of the English league system, “The Robins” have in recent seasons achieved club record league positions, and won the FA Vase in 2015.
The fan base has grown significantly in recent years, averaging gates of over 300 at our Ralph Gardner ground located in the centre of North Shields with great links around the local community.
Our website currently averages over 8,000 weekly hits, Our social media hits over 300,000 people on average with over 14,000 followers, our award winning match day programme sales usually reflect a purchase by 20% of the gate and the club actively engages with fans via social networks.
The Role
We are looking for an individual who possesses a keen interest in video editing to create a 10-15 minute highlight package, using the video recorded on the clubs Veo system, to be uploaded to the clubs Youtube channel within a timely manner of the previous game concluding.
Key Responsibilities
- Be efficient in using video editing software
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Be able to work to deadlines
- Be able to work as part of a small media team
- Publish created content to the club’s Youtube channel.
Additional Information
- This is a voluntary role
- Matchday’s are made up Saturday’s, Tuesday’s or Wednesday’s and some Bank Holidays.
- The football season runs from July to April approx.
- Attendance on match days are not required but appreciated. This role can be done remotely.
- A strong understanding and knowledge of Non League Football is required.
