Tonight we visit the Arrowmark Home Improvement Stadium, as we take on 4th placed Birtley Town.
Our hosts are flying high in the league, currently residing in 5th place in their return to the first division, almost certainly going to achieve a top 6 finish with this being their penultimate game.
Last time out, they faced off against second top Shildon, losing 2-0 as a brace from Andrei Ardelean was enough for the Railwayman to secure the victory.
Brian Smith’s men have been presented with 3 games in 5 days this week, starting with tonight before home against Crook and Whickham on Wednesday and Friday respectively.
Saturday saw a threadbare Robins squad travel to Cumbria with just 14 players to select from, a contender for performance of the season, returning with the all important 3 points with goals from Euan Anderson and Matty Telfer, to take us to the 40 point mark for the season.
When the two sides met at the Daren Persson Stadium back in September, the Robins ran out 3-1 winners, courtesy of goals from Regan Paterson, David Palmer and Tom Potter.
We hope that you can join us to cheer on the lads. If you are not able to join us, updates will be available via social media @northshieldsfc
