North Shields Football Club can confirm we have now opened the application process for the role of First-Team Manager.
The club is looking for competitive, positive-thinking, self-motivated, dedicated, and enthusiastic candidates who aspire to be the very best and want to achieve progress through player development in the football pyramid.
The club is currently situated in Step 5 and is ambitious to progressing through the football pyramid. The community club is built upon foundations with good links within the community and afar.
The club will go through a two-staged recruitment process:
1. Initial interest review
2. First interview with selected list
If needed a Second interview will be held with selected list
Applicants must possess the following qualities:
- A passion and desire to build a squad capable of competing.
- An ability to manage, motivate, communicate and coach a first-team squad whilst also maintaining the club’s sustainability off the field.
- An ability to build an effective coaching/support team along with experience in the recruitment, development and coaching of young players.
- Relevant and in date coaching badges and first aid qualifications
- The ability to manage within an agreed budget and work with the club’s board on financial business matters.
- A strong connection with fans and excellent PR skills – able to commit time to work with the local community.
- Ability to communicate regularly with the club secretary and board.
- A role model for code of conduct behaviours in the game and highly supportive of standards for equality, diversity and inclusion in line with FA guidelines.
- The ability to work with the club on its strategic plan both on and off the field.
