North Shields are delighted to announce the signing of Robbie Christie from Newcastle University.
Robbie joins the squad after impressing the management after playing for the Uni. The left sided player can play as a left back or left midfielder bringing pace and skill into the side.
Christie has played for Northumberland County U18’s and New Hartley Juniors and was apart of the North Shields Youth Team two years ago.
Speaking of his arrival Marc Nash said;
Robbie is a player we would have signed at the start of last season if it wasn’t for him taking a scholarship at Newcastle University. Once we knew he was available we were interested as young, left footed players of that quality are few and far between. He can play in defence and also higher up and with his pace he can cause teams problems.
