With pre-season done, Brian Smith’s side look forward to kicking off their 2024/25 campaign with a trip to last season’s division two play-off winners Easington Colliery.
Our hosts for this season’s opener, have gone undefeated through preseason including wins against Boldon CA, Sunderland West End and Gateshead Leam Rangers.
The Robins concluded their preseason campaign on Tuesday night coming back from two-nil down to Northern Premier League East side Dunston. Both Holmes’ brothers on target early on in the second half to draw the Robins level.
The last time the two teams met at Welfare Park was back in January 2012 in the Northern League Second Division, where the Robins ran out 3-0 winners with goals from Kevin Hughes, Paul Dunn and Andy Hay.
