North Shields are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young wide man Coleby Shepherd on a short term loan.
Shepherd joins the Robins from Northern Premier League Premier Division side Whitby Town to bolster Marc Nash’s attacking options and also act as cover for the injured Kyle Patton who suffered a nasty injury against Marske United in the FA Cup .
Shepherd has spent some time at Hartlepool United and featured heavily for the U18 side as well as a loan spell at Whitley Bay.
Speaking about his arrival Marc Nash has said
We have been a little light in the forward area due to Kyle Pattons injury and other unavailability. Coleby left an impression on us last season when he played for Whitley Bay against us on Boxing Day. We enquired about him in the summer but it didn’t come to anything but now Whitby are prepared to him go for a spell and we are delighted to get him on board as he is a quality young player that fits perfectly into our set up.
