The Northern League Cup will be held with a new format after the League decided that following delays due to Covid concerns, there would be insufficient time to play all the rounds of the traditional League Cup.
Instead, there will be separate First and Second Division competitions and in the draw for the First Division Cup North Shields will face Consett at home and the winner in the Second Round when they will travel to Redcar Athletic. The first round game will be played on Wednesday 2nd March.
