‘Robins get through difficult test’

With the heroics of Saturday still very much fresh in the mind, the focus for Brian Smith’s side returned back to the league.

A side consisting of a number of changes from Saturday as Nick Cassidy, Euan Anderson and  Kyle Downey and Dan Waldon all in the starting XI.

The first chance for the Robins came from a freekick taken quickly, Downey releasing Suddick down the right, his cross just slightly behind Dan Waldon in the middle.

The first chance for the visitors came after possession was given away cheaply in midfield, the effort on goal saved well low down by Kyle Hayes with his feet.

With just 10 minutes on the clock, the Robins were forced into an early change, Ben Harmison took a knock and was unable to continue, replaced by Dean Holmes.

With around a quarter of an hour on the clock the Robins should have taken the lead, patient build up play, allowing Lahsley to get a shot off, blocked only to fall into the path Waldon, who took a touch to set himself before firing towards an open goal only to hit the outside the post.
