Last Season’s Finish: 5th
With the heroics of Saturday’s win in the FA Vase still very much fresh in the mind, it is a very quick turnaround for Brian Smith’s side as we welcome West Auckland Town to the Daren Persson Stadium as our focus returns to league action.
Our visitors for tomorrow’s game come into the contest on the back of three successive defeats in all competition, Saturday saw them lose at home to Whickham, coming back from one goal down to draw level on the hour mark via James Harrison, the Lang Jacks retaking the lead 10 minutes later.
At the weekend, Brian Smith’s side setup a fourth round home tie with West Didsbury and Chorlton, heading into the final 5 minutes a goal down, substitute Dan Waldon drawing the Robins level before Jordan Lashley smashed the ball home in the 93rd minute to set off scenes of pandemonium amongst the travelling support.
The win seeing the Robins make it 7 consecutive wins in all competitions.
When the two sides met last season at the Daren Persson Stadium the two sides played out a 0-0 stalemate.
We hope that you can join us at the Daren Persson Stadium and cheer on the lads, if not, you can keep up with live updates via our social media channels @northshieldsfc.
