A quick turnaround for Brian Smith’s side as they visit Mount Pleasant, the home of Marske United tomorrow night, with a 7.45pm KIck off.
Looking to build on from Saturday’s professional performance seeing off local rivals Whitley Bay in El Coastico, goals from Nelson Ogbewe, Curtis Coppen and Ryan Carr capped off a brilliant afternoon for Robins fans. Graham Williams bagged a late consolation with virtually the last kick of the game.
The win saw the Robins record back to back wins for the first time in 2025.
Our hosts for tomorrow night’s game were also in action at the weekend, just up the coast road to neighbours Newcastle Benfield, where they left empty handed as goals from Joe Ames, Joseph Thompson and Noah Millington gave the Lions a 3-0 win.
When the two sides met earlier in the season at the Daren Persson Stadium, it was a cracking game for the neutral where the Robins ran out 3-2 winners, Jamie Holmes, Euan Anderson and Will McCamley on target for the Robins as Kyran Clark pulled the Seasiders level twice.
