He’s coming home …

North Shields Football Club are delighted to announce that Denver Morris has rejoined the club.

Since leaving the Robins in 2017, Denver has spent time playing for Morpeth Town, West Auckland Town and most recently Bishop Auckland, who he joined at the beginning of this current season.

During his first spell with the club, Denver very quickly became a fan favourite, with his versatility and strength causing opposing defenders all sorts of problems.

Before he left the Robins in 2017, Denver made a total of 72 appearances, scoring 17 goals.

Any fan of the club will fondly remember his Man of the Match performance in the 2015 FA Vase Final against Glossop North End, where he set up Adam Forster’s winning goal at Wembley which saw the club triumph 2-1.

After sealing the deal to bring him back to the club, Manager Marc Nash was delighted to have added even more quality to his side.

“Denver needs no introduction to the club or the fans. He moved to Bishops in the summer but it didn’t work out so we agreed a deal bring him ‘home’. He’s a very experienced player now and will add plenty to further strengthen the squad.”

We are delighted to have Denver back at NE29, and we look forward to seeing him back in action.

Welcome Home Denver!
