North Shields FC are delighted to announce that Dan Wilson has returned to the club after spells at Seaham Red Star and Blyth AFC, where he lifted the Division Two title. This signing is subject to league and FA approval.
Dan is a very powerful centre-forward that certainly knows where the back of the net is. He can hold the ball up with ease, but is also capable of driving at the defence too.
During his time at Blyth AFC he scored 5 goals in 5 appearances before joining Seaham Red Star in 2018 after lots of interest for the forward. Dan contributed to 18 goals in 37 appearances for The Star. He returns to link up with Marc Nash at the helm with 118 appearances to his name with the forward scoring 28 goals for The Robins after joining from Dunston UTS in 2015.
Speaking about the striker returning to NE29, manager Marc Nash is delighted with the new signing and speaking to Head of Media, Sean Mulligan he said:
“Signing Dan is a massive boost to the squad. We were lacking a bit power in that area and he certainly gives us that. Our other forwards all have their own great attributes so theres a healthy blend now. He is a player that defenders do not enjoy being up against as they know they are in for a tough time physically. Dan was very keen to return to North Shields and undoubtedly there was interest elsewhere so we are delighted hes back at the club.”
Welcome home Wilson!
