Vacancy: Graphic Designer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to volunteer within our media team for a Graphic Designer.

The successful candidate will contribute to the content delivery of North Shields FC on all media
platforms through creative and engaging design content. As a Football club at the heart of its community, North Shields FC is committed to delivering a strong media offering, engaging fans and supporters.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will create print and digital publications for the football club, providing crucial support to the communications team. As a Graphic Design Volunteer, you will gain a set of skills such as attention to detail, communication, creativity, project management, brand consistency, and visual communication.

Typical duties include: 

  • Designing collateral and digital assets for external media channels primarily using Adobe InDesign
  • Creation of clubs media portfolio. General match graphics including weekly match fixture graphic
  • Liaising with external sponsors to design creative materials to advertise their company at the football club or on the football club’s social media
  • Handling various design needs including player graphics, stand-alone campaigns, brochures, communication graphics, and both print and digital graphics.
  • Creating designs and templates for social media, and multimedia content
  • ESSENTIAL
  • Basic experience of graphic design and software.
  • Knowledge of the Northern League and its clubs
  • Attention to detail
  • A creative mindset
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Ability to work on your own with minimum supervision
  • DESIRABLE
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Software packages
  • Experience of working with a football environment
  • Experience of managing social channels and creating engaging content
  • HOURS OF WORK: Various (dependant on individual)
