North Shields Football Club can announce that experienced midfielder Paul Robinson has departed the club to sign for Northern League Division One side Ashington.
The 36-year-old, who joined the Robins from Morpeth Town in 2017, made a total of 107 appearances for Shields, scoring 15 goals.
However, he has found his game time limited so far this season, playing only four times from the opening twelve games.
Robbo has recognised how tough it will be for him to break into the first team picture at the Daren Persson Stadium and therefore made the decision to seek first team opportunities elsewhere.
It goes without saying, everyone at the club would like to thank him for all his effort and enthusiasm on and off the pitch. We wish him all the best.
