NORTHERN LEAGUE FIXTURE RELEASE

North Shields can today confirm the schedule for our EBAC Northern League fixtures for the 2020/2021 season.

The Ebac Northern League today confirmed that the 2020/21 season will start on Saturday 5th September.

Following on from the revised guidance from the Government and FA, a limited number of spectators will be allowed into games as part of a phased return.

The FA has stipulated that games can only be held if the club has produced a Covid-19 risk assessment and clearly placed the assessment on the club’s website.  Clubs also need to put in place measures to support the NHS Test and Trace system.

There will be a limit of 300 spectators for games from August 31 onwards.

North Shields start the EBAC Northern League campaign welcoming Consett AFC.

Please note that all fixtures are subject to change and you will be advised on any changes made.

League chairman Glenn Youngman said:

It’s great news that we can start the new season with spectators present, albeit with limited numbers.

But everyone has a part to play in keeping fans, players, match officials and club volunteers safe and well to ensure that we can continue to play matches that are open to the public.  The FA has made it clear that they will keep the situation under constant review.

We hope you enjoy the new season.

Glenn Youngman

We hope to see those of you on Saturday if you can make it or we will see you very soon!
