North Shields FC officially brought the curtain down on a remarkable 2025/26 campaign last night, hosting its annual Presentation Night at The Exchange to honor the standout performers, dedicated club stalwarts, and unsung heroes who defined the season.
The evening was a celebration of collective effort, with another Round of 16 finish in the FA Vase, a respectable league position in the league and also a trophy with the League Cup in the hands of North Shields for the first time in 52 years but several individuals took center stage for their exceptional contributions on and off the pitch.
Elliott Cleans Up with Double Award Win
The night undoubtedly belonged to Callum Elliott, who walked away with two of the club’s most prestigious accolades. Elliott’s dazzling performances between the ticks and consistency throughout the 2025/26 campaign earned him both the Players’ Player of the Season and the Fans’ Player of the Season. Winning the backing of both his teammates and the regular residents of the Daren Persson Stadium cements Elliott’s status as a vital talisman for the Robins.
Sampson and Taylor Honored for Leadership and Loyalty
The prestigious Managers’ Player of the Season was awarded to Ben Sampson. Sampson’s tactical discipline, work ethic, and leadership on the pitch made him an indispensable asset to the coaching staff throughout a grueling Northern League campaign.
Meanwhile, the heartbeat of the club was recognized with Bryan Taylor being named Volunteer of the Season. Taylor’s tireless behind-the-scenes dedication ensures the club runs smoothly week in, week out, embodying the true, proud spirit of North Shields FC.
Milestone Achievement for Club Legend Mason
In a night filled with applause, one of the loudest ovations was reserved for Lee Mason, who was presented with a special memento to mark a historic milestone. Mason officially surpassed 200 appearances for the club during the 2025/26 season, a testament to his enduring loyalty, longevity, and high-level performances over the years in the red and white shirt.
