North Shields are delighted to announce that former Newcastle United midfielder Craig Spooner has returned to the club, subject to league approval.
Craig Spooner signed for The Robins in July 2018 making 32 appearances and scoring 5 goals. He left North Shields to join Blyth Spartans before joining Whitley Bay in September 2019. Spooner went on to make 14 appearances for The Seahorses and scoring twice.
Manager Marc Nash said: “Craig returning has come along at a good time. We’ve just had a player leave and we are heading into a very busy period so adding someone of his quality and versatility who knows the club is massive for us.”
One of Craig’s highlights during his time at North Shields was that goal he scored against Stockton Town which got him a space on Soccer AM.
