NEW SIGNING: Myers joins The Robins

North Shields Football Club are delighted to welcome Anthony Myers to the club.

Anthony joins the club from Seaham Red Star where the defender made 36 appearances and helping with 3 goals in his 2 year spell at the club.

Myers has also turned out for Hebburn Town and being a long serving player at Jarrow Roofing where he picked up a number of awards including Player of the Year and Players’ Player in 2014. The versatile defender can also play in the centre of midfield and is very commanding, great in the air, a great passer of the ball and strong in the tackle.

Speaking to Head of Media Sean Mulligan about why he joined North Shields FC, Anthony said:

I can’t wait to get started at North Shields! It is a team that I have always admired when I’ve played against them! They always do well in the cup competitions and are among the top challengers in the league. When this opportunity come along it was too good to turn away from and after speaking with the management team it got me very excited.

What would you like to achieve at the club?

I come to the club to win things, plain and simple. With the squad and the vision that the management team have there is no reason why we can’t. Bring on 2020-2021!

First Team Coach, Steve Swinyard is delighted with the signing and had this to say about the new signing;

Anth is a vastly experienced Northern league player who will further strengthen our squad. He’s got a lot of quality and real physical presence, he is a leader and above all else he’s already proved he’s got a great attitude, which is arguably the most important thing. Hopefully he’ll hit the ground running.

Welcome to the club Anth!
