Marc Nash and his squad will take to the field for just the second time this month as the Robins host Shildon on what should be a boxing day cracker.
Shildon are no strangers to the Daren Persson Stadium as both teams were counterparts in the Northern League for numerous years prior to both teams achieving promotion to the NPL.
When looking at the league table it does not make good reading for The Railway Men as they currently sit in 19th place picking up 13 points along the way. However, based on previous meetings Shildon are no pushovers.
The league table makes much better reading for Robins fans, who currently sit in 10th place, a position in which we have sat consistently throughout the season knowing that just a couple of wins could propel us up the table.
Last time out, we picked up a hardfought point on the road as we drew 1-1 with Stocksbridge Park Steels.

By Car
The postcode of the stadium is NE29 0SS. Some limited parking spaces can be found at the stadium and there is plenty and free street parking on West Percy Road adjacent to the stadium.
By the Tyne & Wear Metro
Tyneside is well served by a light rail system known as the Tyne & Wear Metro. North Shields is easily accessible from Newcastle City Centre from Monument station where trains to the Coast go via North Shields. The Daren Persson Stadium is served by two stops, Meadow Well (5 minutes’ walk) or North Shields (10 minutes’ walk).
By Bus
The 306 & 310 bus service from Newcastle City Centre (Haymarket Bus Station) to Tynemouth runs within close proximity to the stadium. The stadium is located off Waterville Road (East).
Car Parking:
We have a car park in front of the ground to accommodate Players and Officials, parking for spectators is on the streets surrounding the ground.
