Tomorrow we welcome the world’s first ever football team to the Daren Persson Stadium, as Sheffield FC make the trip north.
Just 3 points separate the two sides in the league standings and both teams are flying in terms of form, our visitors have picked up 9 nine points from their 5 games (2 wins, 3 draws), ourselves picking up 10 points from our last 5 games (3 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss).
The reverse fixture back in October saw a quickfire double halfway through the first half give Sheffield all 3 points.
Our visitors have not played since March 6th as games have fallen victim to the weather, where they played out a 1-1 draw away to Brighouse, Luke Aldrich’s equalizer on the stroke on half time canceling out Rio Benjamin-Potts early penalty.
Last week on the road, a first half penalty converted by Callum Larmouth just after the half hour mark, was enough to ensure that we returned home from Lincolnshire with all 3 points.

By Car
The postcode of the stadium is NE29 0SS. Some limited parking spaces can be found at the stadium and there is plenty and free street parking on West Percy Road adjacent to the stadium.
By the Tyne & Wear Metro
Tyneside is well served by a light rail system known as the Tyne & Wear Metro. North Shields is easily accessible from Newcastle City Centre from Monument station where trains to the Coast go via North Shields. The Daren Persson Stadium is served by two stops, Meadow Well (5 minutes’ walk) or North Shields (10 minutes’ walk).
By Bus
The 306 & 310 bus service from Newcastle City Centre (Haymarket Bus Station) to Tynemouth runs within close proximity to the stadium. The stadium is located off Waterville Road (East).
