This weekend the RobIns are on the road, as they make the short trip south down the A19 to take on Seaham Red Star at the Alexandra Steakhouse Stadium.
Our hosts for the game, come into the contest second bottom in the league standings but have won 3 of their last 5 in all competitions, winning their last two games consecutively against Easington Colliery and Whickham.
Their results of late has seen them put some breathing space between themselves and Tow Law Town in bottom place with the gap now 5 points and 5 points adrift from Whickham in the place above them.
The Robins have had a torrid time of late with results, having gone nearly a month without a win since defeating West Didsbury & Chorlton in the FA Vase, despite the poor run, they still sit within the top half of the table.
During the week, the Robins made another short trip, this time north, as they visited Blyth Town at Gateway Park, former Robin Dan Wilson’s brace was enough to secure the home side the three points, Danny Anderson grabbing a consultation goal with the last kick of the game, in a frustrating night for the Robins, a performance that deserved a point minimum but it wasn’t to be.
Seaham Red Star were the visitors to the Daren Persson Stadium back in September, taking a two goal lead via an own goal and Jordan Lashley before the Star battled back to draw level through Michael Annan-Colquhoun and Arran Wearmouth.
We hope that you can join us for the game and cheer on the lads, if not, all the action can be followed as it happens via our social media channels @northshieldsfc
