The North Shields pre-season continues Wednesday evening as we travel to Perth Green to face Northern League Division Two side Jarrow.
The Robins have had mixed fortunes during their pre-season campaign so far, beating Seaton Delaval 8-1 before 3-0 and 3-2 losses to Blyth Spartans and Musselburgh Athletic respectively.
However, a trip to the Division Two side will present the Robins with an opportunity to further ready themselves for their 2019/20 Division One campaign.
The Perth Green-based side should provide North Shields with a strong challenge after beginning their own pre-season campaign with a home 2-1 victory over South Shields FC Academy.
Managed by David Bell, Jarrow have been impressive since their promotion to Division Two from the Wearside League in 2017. Two mid-table finishes after impressive starts show that they are more than a match for their division rivals.
And with the regular season only a matter of weeks away, fitness and form will be on the minds of both management teams.
