Today we received news from the League Management Committee that the EBAC Northern League will be suspended until Wednesday 16th December.
The decision has been made based on the government guidelines regarding spectators and clubhouses in tier 3 areas of which 37 out of the 40 clubs are in.
Regulations would have meant that we were forced to play behind closed doors. As you can appreciate this is not a viable option for us or any club at our level.
Although it is hugely frustrating that our restart has been pushed back even further however this was the only viable option for the sustainability of clubs and safety of players, supporters & officials.
We await confirmation from The FA to what this means regarding our FA Vase fixture against Hebburn Town next Saturday.
The Northern League will review the decision after the governments review of the tiered system on Wednesday 16th December.
