North Shields Football Club are delighted to announce that prolific goal-scorer Connor Campbell has signed for the Robins ahead of the 2019/20 season.
The striker originally joined the Robins at the beginning of the 2018/19 season from Whitley Bay A. However, shortly after the start of the regular season, he made the move to Division Two high-flyers Heaton Stannington in search of regular first team football.
Having joined the Stan after they had suffered a difficult start to the season, Connor played an important role in propelling the club back up the Division Two table, with his 30 goals helping Heaton finish in an impressive fourth place.
With Ryan Carr, Gary Day and Scott McCarthy already signed on for the Robins, the North Shields management team fought off a serious amount of competition to add Connor’s services to an already impressive group of forwards.
Needless to say, we are absolutely delighted that Connor has chosen to return to the Robins and we definitely can’t wait to see him continue his red-hot form.
We would also like to say how incredibly thankful North Shields Football Club are to our friends at Heaton Stannington for their cooperation this past season and beyond.
Despite missing out on promotion by only one place, we firmly expect to see Heaton go one step further and deservedly secure their place in Division One for the 2020/21 season.
