North Shields FC are delighted to announce the return of Tom Bexton, who rejoins the Robins from Sunderland RCA, where he most recently captained the side.
A strong, powerful central defender who is also deceptively quick, Bexton is a commanding presence at the heart of defence and an excellent organiser. His wealth of experience will be invaluable to the squad and particularly beneficial to the club’s younger players.
During his previous spell with North Shields, Bexton made 35 appearances, scoring once, and quickly became a fan favourite for his leadership, commitment, and consistency in red.
Bexton’s career to date includes spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle Blue Star, South Shields, and Sunderland RCA, where he earned recognition for his composure, strength, and defensive intelligence.
North Shields fans will be delighted to see Bexton return to the Daren Persson Stadium as the Robins continue to strengthen their squad for the campaign ahead.
