Tomorrow, the Robins welcome Seaham Red Star to the Daren Persson Stadium.
Brian Smith’s side will be brimming with confidence after Wednesday’s magnificent 3-1 win over Redcar Athletic and last Saturday’s brilliant 2-1 comeback win against Shildon.
Wednesday night saw the Robins produce their performance of the season, coming up against a Redcar Athletic side that was unbeaten in the league before kick off. A blistering first half performance from the Robins saw them go in at the break with a two goal advantage, Dan Waldon and Will McCamley on target, Dan Waldon getting his second of the game early on in the second half, Jack Blackford pulled one back for the visitor’s. Special mention to Jordan Lashley who put in a 5 star performance on his debut for the Robins.
Our visitors were in action during midweek, when they hosted Newcastle Blue Star on Tuesday night, losing out 1-0 in the contest as Liam Henderson gave Blue Star the win, scoring just after the break.
When the two sides met at the Daren Persson Stadium last season, it was on the opening day, the Robins ran out 3-0 winners, a David Palmer brace and Anth Myers all in the first half securing the win.
We hope that you can join us for the game and cheer on the lads, if not you can follow us on our social media channels @northshieldsfc for updates.
