Tomorrow the Robins start their venture in the season’s FA Vase with a trip to Teeside as they take on Redcar Town of the Northern League second division.
Our hosts for tomorrow’s game won promotion to the Northern League ahead of the 2022-23 season, making their debut in the FA Vase the same season.
Last season saw both teams exit the competition at the same stage, second qualifying round, Redcar losing to local neighbours Guisborough Town, whilst the Robins exited the competition to West Auckland Town.
The two sides last met in the 2002-2003 season, both teams playing in the Wearside League, the two teams playing out a 1-1 draw.
