Ossett United were formed in October 2018, following the merger of Ossett Town AFC (est. 1936) and Ossett Albion (est. 1944). Both clubs managed to gain Northern Premier League status and maintain it for a remarkable period of time, before the merger happened.
Last weekend they drew 1-1 with Consett and during the week they have secured the services of Alex Peterson who opened the scoring in last Saturday’s 0-2 defeat against Sheffield FC.
Marc Nash and his men will be looking to bounce back after last week’s disappointing loss, however we still sit in 7th place and will be looking to use home advantage to get back to the recent good run of form we have been on.
The Sheepicorns find themselves in 12th place coming into the fixture, unbeaten in their last two games, beating Long Eaton United 2-0 on the road prior to the aforementioned 1-1 draw with Consett.
A good game is in store and we look forward to welcoming you to Daren Persson Stadium to cheer on the lads!
