Tomorrow night we make the short trip up the coast road as we take on local neighbours Newcastle Benfield at Sam Smith Park.

Our hosts have made an indifferent start to this campaign, having played 4, winning 2 and losing 2. They ran out 7-1 winners on the opening day of the season before 0-4 and 1-7 defeats to West Auckland and Bishop Auckland before a 4-0 win at home to Penrith.

Dan Iredale and the lads will be looking to continue to good start to the league campaign, currently sat in 5th place after three games, Saturday’s 0-0 draw at home to Shildon, will look like a missed opportunity to go top of the table but the lads will do everything possible to get the right result and keep the good form going.

When the two sides last met, they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw as Paul Van-Zandvliet gave the Robins the lead in the 1st minute, before being pegged back by Aidan Healey then two goals in a minute, firstly Cam Cunningham then Paul Brayson to draw the lions level. The Robins had to hold in the final minutes of the game after Jack Walker was giving his marching orders with 5 minutes to go.

For those looking to come to the game tomorrow night, see below instructions of how to find Sam Smith park. We look forward to seeing you there to cheer on the lads!
