Tomorrow night we visit the Arrowmark Home Improvement Stadium, as we take on 4th placed Birtley Town.

Our hosts for the game have been in fine form of late, unbeaten in their last 5 games, proving why they currently hold a spot in the top 4 with demolitions of Benfield and Whitley Bay, 6-1 and 5-1 and wins against Northallerton, 2-0 and Carlisle City 2-1.

Last time out, they were halted temporarily when they went head to head with Heaton Stannington, both teams playing out a 0-0 stalemate, as 4th place played 5th place.

Brian Smith’s men have just 6 games remaining before the curtain comes down for the season, and will be looking to pick up as many points as possible along the way.

With Saturday’s postponement, meaning the last competitive action was back on Easter Monday at home to Whitley Bay, where a quick fire double after the break gave the visitors the win, despite a dominant first half performance from the Robins.

When the two sides met at the Daren Persson Stadium back in September, the Robins ran out 3-1 winners, courtesy of goals from Regan Paterson, David Palmer and Tom Potter.

We hope that you can join us to cheer on the lads. If you are not able to join us, updates will be available via social media @northshieldsfc
