On Saturday Marc Nash and his men take a trip to the seaside as they visit the Hudgell Solicitors Stadium, the home of old foes Bridlington Town.

The last time the Robins made the visit, the contest was was not short of drama as the two sides met in the 2020/21 FA Vase First Round where Dan Wilson opened the scoring before Bridlington took the lead through goals from Fraser Papprill and Danny Earl before David Robinson drew the Robins level and took the game to penalties with an right footed thunderbolt, where Greg Purvis took up the role of shoot-out hero to send the Robins through.

In the terms of this season, Bridlington find themselves sat in 10th place on 18 points, last time out they clinched a point on the road at Dunston courtesy of a 90th minute equalizer from Joe Norton after falling behind in the 3rd minute, which stopped the rut they found themselves in as they had lost the previous two games 0-5 and 0-4 against Pontefract and Stockton respectively.

Before those results Bridlington hit some form with consecutive wins against Brighouse and Consett as part of an unbeaten run which stretched to three games.

The Robins go into the game on the back of last week’s heroics from Finlay Hodgson leveling the game in the 98th minute to draw us level and cap off a magnificent MOM performance. This result saw the Robins turn things around from the disappointing 0-2 loss to Sheffield FC the previous week.

We hope to see you there and cheer on the lads!
