IREDALE JOINS THE ROBINS AS MANAGER

North Shields Football Club are delighted to announce that Daniel Iredale has been appointed as First Team Manager.

Iredale joins the club after departing Ryton and Crawcrook in the 2022/23 season and is delighted to join North Shields FC.

The UEFA B licensed coach has years of experience and a solid background in player and team development combined with an extensive understanding of developing teams and working in multi-disciplinary units.

Iredale guided Ryton & Crawcrook Albion to EA Cup success and a sixth-place finish in the Northern League Division 2 in his first season in charge.

Iredale has strong experience in a range of environments in football and business complimenting leadership style tailored to develop and activate the skills and qualities of individuals.

Our new appointment comes with a strong footballing background after playing for Newcastle United as a Academy Player before playing in the North East including North Shields FC itself. Dan finished his playing career early due to a nasty injury at West Allotment Celtic and turned to management with his first step at Cullercoats FC where he led the team to a triple Cup victories as well as a 2nd placed league finish.

The manager has achieved results in competition, built through a strong foundation of relationship development, coaching players within specific technical and tactical frameworks, ID of opportunities for marginal gains in performance plus implementation of Multi-disciplinary teams.

Speaking ahead of his new appointment Dan Iredale said, “I am extremely proud and grateful to be given this opportunity to be the next manager of North Shields Football Club, a very well known, ambitious club. I think me and the team will be a wonderful fit going forward. We are all excited to be a part of it and can’t wait to put in the hard work to make it a success.

Anything I’ve been involved in I have always aimed high, it’s the only way I know. At a club like this it should be the minimum expectations for all involved. We must bounce straight back and aim for promotion at the first time of asking along with the exciting prospect of the FA Vase and the other cup competitions as well as the league season ahead. We must enjoy our football but that must be matched with ambition, effort, and drive across all players and management and we will strive for nothing less.

I would like to tell the supporters to stay very positive. It’s been a tough week or so with Marc, Anthony and others leaving after a successful five year tenure which is something they should be proud of. One thing I can promise to you all is that myself and my team are here to win and give everything we have to make sure all ambition by this club is met. So please get behind us from the start and let’s do something special this year!”

Club Chairman, Alan Matthews said “We are delighted to welcome Daniel to North Shields. Daniel will bring lots of enthusiasm, passion & professionalism to the club. We are excited to see what the future has to hold as we look to bounce back.”

“The Board and I held some valuable discussions with Dan over the last few days, and he quickly convinced us that he had exactly the right attributes to be a great manager for North Shields, and bring future success and silverware. Not only does Daniel have a real hunger for managing and a winning mentality, but a man who could inspire our fans too!”

Dan will be supported by his backroom team which will be announced in due course.

Please join us in welcoming Dan to the club for this exciting new chapter for the club!
