Fozzy The Captain

North Shields Football Club are delighted to announce that Adam Forster has been made captain of the first team squad.

With long-term club captain Kevin Hughes taking a break from football due to family and work commitments, the Robins management team acted quickly to make the talented midfielder his replacement.

Adam is somebody who is very well known to the Robins supporters and has made 226 appearances since joining the club, scoring ten goals across that spell.

Having initially left the club to play for Blyth AFC, Marc and Woody were quick to bring the popular midfielder back to the Daren Persson Stadium at the first opportunity.

Since his return to the Robins early last season, he played an integral part in the clubs run to the Northumberland Senior Cup Final and despite a spell out with an injury, his still managed to put in numerous full-blooded performances. Proof that hard work does pay off.

Congratulations Fozzy on being made North Shields captain!

  1. Chuffed to bits for our Wembley Hero. Great player and just as important, a great lad too.
