North Shields FC are delighted to announce the arrival of Dominic Ilderton and Felix Cox, who join the club’s media department as Match Reporters and Media Assistants. Their energy, creativity, and journalism backgrounds will strengthen the club’s coverage both on and off the pitch.
Dominic Ilderton
Dom brings a lifelong passion for football and an impressive academic background to the Robins’ media setup.
“Hi, I’m Dom. I’m joining the North Shields FC Media Team as one of their new match reporters. I’ve been involved in football all my life, playing the sport from the age of 5, supporting Newcastle United and now covering football as a job!
I moved away from the North East to Sheffield for four years, studying Media at Sheffield Hallam University, and then a Master’s Degree in Sports Journalism.
I hope to help North Shields FC grow during my time here, as I work with everyone here to make the product the best it can be.”
Dom’s sharp reporting, professionalism, and enthusiasm for grassroots football are set to be a huge asset as the club continues to grow its media output.
Felix Cox
Felix joins the Robins after recently completing his bachelor’s degree in Sports Journalism, bringing fresh ideas and a keen eye for detail to the media team.
“Hi, I’m Felix, I’m very pleased to be joining the media team at North Shields FC this season.
I’ve recently returned from Leeds with a bachelors degree in sports journalism, and I’m keen to start the journey of putting that to use now.
I’d like to make a difference here at the club and look forward to working with the rest of the team.”
Felix’s ambition, creativity, and drive to make a positive impact will help elevate the club’s media presence across all platforms.
