Northern Alliance side Cullercoats will be the visitors to Ralph Gardner Park on Monday 26th July as Shields step up their preparation for the new season. The fixture will see Femi Akinbolu up against his old side. Kick off is 7.30pm and admission (as for all friendlies) is £3 adults, £1.50 concessions and under 18's get in free.

Player Manager Anthony Woodhouse and North Shields FC have pulled off a major coup by signing centre forward Keith Douglas from under the noses of the a number of clubs. He joins from Ashington having previously played for West Allotment Celtic and Bedlington Terriers.
Woody couldn’t hide his enthusiasm as he announced the signing. “Keith is a fantastic player and is exactly what this club has needed. He’s keen to join and knows all about the history and potential of this club. He’ll have a big impact on the club and the Ultra’s will have a new hero to sing the name of. This signing is a big piece of the jigsaw we need to complete to return the club to where they belong.”

Anthony Lowther Charity Walk. 09/06/2010 20:09
 North Shields footballer Anthony Lowther sadly passed away in January 2010 after a short illness. He was a Civil Servant and lived in Hadrian Park with his wife and baby son. He was a popular player throughout the local semi-professional scene and represented Life University USA, Atlanta Legends, Prudhoe Town, Tow Law Town, Blyth Spartans, Newcastle Benfield, Bedlington Terriers and finally North Shields.
In memory of Anthony a charity walk will take place between Ralph Gardner Park, North Shields (NE29 6UA) and Croft Park, Blyth Spartans starting at 9am prior to the match between the two clubs in Blyth on Sunday July 18th (2pm kick off). The walk will take the scenic coastal route via Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and Seaton Sluice and a “refreshment” stop at a local watering hole is anticipated mid walk. The walk is 10miles and should take just over 3 hours.

The Robins will play Crook Town at Ralph Gardner Park in the first round of the Northern League Cup.
Should Shields win they will have a plum game in the next round having been drawn to play league champions Spennymoor Town at home.
