My life is complete. Get right in!!!!!! They will claim they did not have their first team out....Neither did we girls!! but we had 11 heroes who played their guts out for the cause. I don`t care if we get relegated this year. Thanks Woody and all concerned. I never expected a win, but we outclassed them.

Concurred Red Mist. I am waiting for the excuses. "We only had young un`s out" "It was a weakened side". Well so were we. They had 54 substitutes we only had 3 and one of them was Woody.

Two fantastic goals from a patched up Shields side and although Whitley had a few chances, the better side held on for a memorable victory. I have a special mention for Robbo as after a couple of errors recently, I thought he was fantastic tonight and made a few decent saves, especially during the second half. Lets hope this result has a knock on effect and sets the team up for a decent start to the league season.

England`s number 1! Robbo is an Ultras hero and we will be sponsoring him this year. Best keeper in the league.

Punks69 was right - I had a look and their forum is very quiet, although they are having a bit of a go on NLZ.

Well its was certainly a better game than last season. However it shows the different asperation between shields and whitley supporters, I dont know one whitley supporter who would take relegation as long as they beat north shields in a friendly. I have to agree that your goalie had a good game you will do wel to hold on to him as he is good enough to play in the first division. The onr think i was suprised at was the general state of the ground .There is alot of work to be done to ensure you get the ground grading in march. And no i dont want you to be relegated as for me it would be less local northern league games to watch.

Well done shields. Gutted I had to miss this one due to work commitments.
I suffer from split loyalties on this rivalry- I’m the grandson of Frank Brennan who obviously managed Shields in the late 60’s during their most successful period but I’ve lived in the bay my entire life and I’m a Whitley season ticket holder.
I always enjoy my trips to see Shields play when I can. I’ve been really impressed with the job Woody has done since he was appointed. You Ultras are always first class entertainment and the support you give the team is second to none so you have every right to revel in this victory.
Hopefully the team can use this result as a springboard to get off to a good start this season and go onto gain promotion.
All the best to Woody and the boys for the upcoming season.

It is never too late to repent your sins Gojira. You could achieve a blissful state by casting off your Whitley Bay shackles and joining the Ultras. Do the right thing and make Frank proud. Don`t worry about where you live, although you could benefit from moving house too mate!

Haha like it Redmist- excuse me while I go find a priest, an estate agent and a locksmith for those pesky shackles!!
Nah, I`m Bay through and through although Shields will always hold a special place for me and rest of the family and I really want to see them do well starting with promotion and winning the 2nd division this season.
Frank would have been proud of the boys and the performance last night.

The predictable excuses have turned up on NLZ this morning. You should have a look lads. It pretty much follows Mad`s prediction. Very funny!
